Here is the car part of our journey to Ravi's village (the village that he was a peace corps volunteer in over 20 years ago). It was around five hours, with lots of gorgeous views. Although everyone looks quite content in the photos, that wasn't exactly the case. We had the misfortune of having a young, fearless and crazy driver. Not far into the trip, one of the Nepali girls started vomiting. And the rest of us were, well, slightly terrified, going so fast on these curvy, mountainous roads. We all had plastic bags within reach. Luckily Tavo and Nena slept practically the entire way. But we were sure to request a different driver for the return trip!
