More of Magdalena

Magdalena is growing fast and is quite a cutie. She smiles and coos a lot these days. Her favorite activity (besides sleeping) is taking a bath. Her least favorite is riding in the car. She already holds her head up pretty well and puts weight on her feet when you stand her up. She is also beginning to watch and be entertained by her brother more and more.

City Park 3

The next outing in City Park was for Voodoo Music Festival. It was a beautiful day out to hear music in a beautiful setting. Tavo walked right up to the front of the stage to check out Glenn David Andrews. Magdalena woke up for the Zydepunks. Tavo played with his friend Jackson, and then went to sleep during Wyclef Jean's dynamic performance.

City Park 2

This is the Sculpture Garden in City Park. We were in the park for "Japan Festival" where Tavo was mesmerized by a show of Japanese high energy drumming. Magdalena slept through it, as well as through the stroll in the garden, cozy in her wrap.

With the gorgeous fall weather, we've been spending a lot of time in City Park, which is just a few miles up the street from us. The first shot is from "Storyland", a place where kids can run around with statues of figures from classic children's stories. We love this photo of Tavo in the fire truck. The next shots are from a picnic we had on an island in the park. Then we have some random photos at home.

No, he's not potty trained yet! But he likes to sit on the toilet and look at his books about animals.

Ever since Magdalena was born, Ninito seems huge to us. Just look at this shot of their feet next to each other!

Magdalena's 1st Second Line

We can always tell when a second line is about to pass in front of our house. All of the sudden, there are more people, vendors and cars in the street. So we grabbed the camera and sure enough, a parade passed in a few minutes.

Here's a photo of the four of us on an outing to the zoo. Magdalena slept well in her wrap, while Tavo enjoyed checking out the animals and riding the carousel.

Brotherly Love

We've been trying to get a nice photo of the two siblings together. These are two typical pictures of them. In one, she is crying. In the other, she looks worried and almost scared that her brother might poke her in the face or something. But every day, he is more gentle and sweet with her.
