We must have celebrated Easter for a month, with various Easter egg hunts around town and then the kids had a favorite new game at home...you guessed it, Easter egg hunt. These are shots from the hunt at Longvue Gardens.
In mid-March, the kids enjoyed visits from Abuela Christina, Tia Rosie and Abuela Chacha. Visits also mean we get to eat a lot of New Orleans' good food: beignets, crawfish and breakfast at Clover Grill.
After a break from Mardi Gras parades, the kids were very excited to go to another parade. This parade was a little different though, in addition to green and white beads, food is thrown. Carrots, potatoes, and lots of cabbage. Tavo was thrilled about getting a box of Lucky Charms.
On our way back from Texas, we made a brief visit at Jana's hometown of Lake Jackson. The kids got to meet Leslie, her son Gage and Tammi. They were very entertained by her dogs. Back in New Orleans, Rene, Emily and Otis came for a visit. Rene & Emily used to live in New Orleans, but it was our first time to meet their son Otis.
Here are a few more shots in San Antonio with Abuela Christina. Later we went back for more fun at Grandma and Grandpa McDonald's. Grandpa took us for a canoe ride and Magdalena discovered the birdbath. Tavo also learned to ride a tricycle!
We went to San Antonio to meet up with Abuela Christina, Tio Ricardo, Tia Cynthia and cousin Galo. Here Nino and Nena are being driven around by Galo, enjoying ice cream and walking around downtown San Antonio.
Jana and kids took a trip to Texas at then end of February and beginning of March. Here are some shots with cousin Benjamin and Aunt Bethany, and also flying kites and Grandma and Grandpa McDonald's.
