We took a short beach vacation to Dauphin Island, Alabama before Nino had to start classes. The first time we went to the beach in this trip, Tavo was so excited to see all the sand. It took us forever to reach the water, as he wanted to stop and play in the sand all along the way. He swam some in the ocean, but mostly played in the sand. Magdalena also played more in the sand than the water. She surprised us by not trying to eat the sand.

I took the girls to a beach a few weeks ago. I was worried about them eating the sand, but didn't have to. They both HATED it! They were trying to climb up my legs, and totally freaking out at the few grains of sand on their toes. We went and sat in the grass.
Nino and Magdalena are SO CUTE. Love them!
Ian loved the sand the first time we went to the beach, and while he ate sea shells and coral, sand was not eating stuff in his world either. I can't wait till our trip this year in August for my Mom's birthday. It's going to be a blast!
